Terms and Conditions
1. Quotation Validity
- This quotation is valid for a period of 21 (twenty-one) calendar days from the date of issue.
2. Deposit & Payment Terms
- A 60% deposit is required upon acceptance of the quotation.
- The remaining 40% balance is payable no later than 5 working days prior to the scheduled delivery and installation date.
- Any cash deposit fees are for the client’s account and must be included in the payment.
3. Contract Initiation
- The contract becomes binding upon receipt of the signed quotation.
- At Aluminate, every system we supply is ordered and crafted specifically for your project. We do not hold generic stock — instead, each element of your system is carefully sourced from our European partners to match your precise design, colour, and finish selections.
- This is part of what makes an Aluminate installation special: your home will feature a product that is designed, ordered, and built uniquely for you.
- Before we can place this special order, we complete a final confirmation process with you, where all key decisions — product designs, colours, finishes, glass specifications, and configurations — are formally signed off.
- This process should be completed at least four (4) months prior to your final measurement date to ensure that your bespoke system arrives on time and your project remains on schedule. Once this final confirmation is completed, your personalised order will be placed with our European partners.
4. Lead Times & Import Process
- At Aluminate, we import all systems on a project-specific basis to ensure absolute precision and quality.
- The order should be placed at least four months prior to final measurements, following completion of the final confirmation process.
- Once final measurements are taken, the manufacturing lead time is only 2–3 weeks — among the fastest available for premium European systems.
- This short production lead time ensures seamless integration with your project schedule.
5. Subframes & Installation Process
- Once brickwork is completed, Aluminate will visit the site to take precise measurements of the as-built openings.
- Subframes will then be manufactured specifically to suit these openings.
- Once subframes have been installed, it is the responsibility of the builder to plaster up to the subframes to complete the openings.
- Once all subframes have been fully plastered in, there will be a 2–3 week lead time before Aluminate commences installation of the finished units.
- For off-shutter concrete structures:
- Subframes cannot be installed in off-shutter concrete openings. In these cases, Aluminate will install the finished units directly into the prepared openings. The standard lead time from final measurement in such cases will be 3–4 weeks.
- Important: It is the responsibility of the contractor or builder to ensure that adequate waterproofing is completed before Aluminate begins installation.
- Any delays in preparing the reveals and waterproofing will directly affect the project’s installation schedule.
6. Batch Manufacturing
- All projects will be manufactured as one complete batch to optimise material usage and ensure perfect system consistency.
- If the project is intentionally split into different phases or batches (e.g. for staged construction), those phases will be quoted and billed separately, and produced as individual batches.
7. Changes After Final Confirmation
- Once the final confirmation process has been completed and the project-specific order has been placed with our European partners, the project is locked to ensure accurate planning and delivery.
- Any changes requested after this point — including changes to unit sizes, configurations, colours, finishes, or scope — will be treated as a separate project and quoted separately.
- If such changes result in any part of the building being temporarily open due to the original order no longer matching site conditions, Aluminate will make every reasonable effort to assist in temporarily closing off the affected areas. However, the cost of such temporary works will be for the client’s account.
- Important: Late changes may also be subject to additional import lead times and material availability constraints.
8. Project Delays & Price Adjustments
- Aluminate places project-specific orders with European suppliers only after the final confirmation process is completed.
- If there is a delay of more than 21 days between the date the deposit is paid and the date the final confirmation is completed and the order is placed, the project cost may be subject to adjustment.
- Any changes in exchange rates, raw material costs, freight costs, supplier pricing, or other cost variables occurring after the deposit has been paid — and before the order is placed — will be communicated to the client. The client will have the option to accept the revised pricing or cancel the order (subject to the standard Order Cancellation terms).
- In addition, due to the nature of glass ordering:
- Glass orders are typically placed approximately three weeks before installation.
- If the cost of the glass has increased by more than 10% compared to the original quotation by the time the glass order is placed, the additional cost will be charged to the client.
- Aluminate will always act transparently and in good faith to minimise any such impacts on project costs, but due to the international nature of our supply chain, this clause ensures we can sustainably and fairly manage real-world market changes.
9. Installation Scheduling & Client Responsibilities
- Aluminate will agree an estimated installation date in coordination with the project timeline provided by the client or their appointed contractor.
- Should this installation date change due to adjustments in the overall project programme, Aluminate will make every reasonable effort to accommodate the revised schedule.
- However, if such changes impact Aluminate’s planned capacity or installation scheduling, this may result in additional lead time before installation can be rescheduled and completed.
- We encourage clients and contractors to maintain proactive communication regarding any changes to the project programme to help ensure smooth and timely installation.
10. Order Cancellation
- The 60% deposit is non-refundable.
- Once glass has been ordered, any additional costs incurred for the glass will also be billed to the client.
11. Software Disclaimer
- While Aluminate uses professional software to generate system sizes and glass requirements, occasional discrepancies may occur.
- Aluminate will not be liable for errors arising from the software-generated sizes. Should such errors be identified, a revised quote will be provided for the affected units, and the project adjusted accordingly.
- We are committed to maintaining full transparency and ensuring the final product meets all specifications and quality standards.
12. Warranty
- Aluminate provides a 2-year limited warranty on all systems supplied and installed by Aluminate, covering:
- Workmanship, moving parts and structural integrity of the system.
- All warranties are subject to proper use, maintenance, and installation as per Aluminate guidelines.
- Full warranty terms and exclusions apply.
13. Privacy
- By accepting this quotation, you consent to Aluminate using your personal information solely for the purposes of processing your order and fulfilling legal obligations.
- You may revoke this consent at any time in writing, but prior actions will not be affected.
- Your information will be securely stored and accessed only by authorised personnel and will be destroyed or archived when no longer required.
